Poor lighting system
I might love my fairly new deck, but I paid extra for lights which continue to burn out. Trex is aware, and they have changed to an improved wiring system, which I was promised weeks ago. The lack of good customer service is noticeable.

My trex deck gets fire hot
I have full sun and the deck gets so hot you cant walk on it after getting out of the pool with bare feet!
We put rugs on the deck so the kids dont BURN their feet, defeating the purpose of a beautiful looking deck.
My wood deck never got hot!

Not happy with trex fading
Our porch was redone with trex approximately 4 years ago , its under a roof only gets evening sun has has faded terrible, I have a piece left over when we done porch and compared to whats on porch the color not close to same , is there anything that can be done ? We are very dissatisfied

How to clean deck when white substance is on the deck from where a plant sat
Couldnt get through on the phone. I had to give my phone number and email number, and then answer a question about why I was calling which was how to clean a Trex deck where there is a white substance from where a plant had been sitting.. I like the Trex deck very much but the customer service on this question Hass to be rated very low.

Warped fascia

Trex has no solution and frankly doesn't want to hear about it.

Hidden fasteners
If the torque is too high, the screws break! Took about a dozen and half broken screws to figure out that I had to set torque to 0 then go up until I could install without stopping.
Always used other system to install (Deck Plus) but tried trex system, should have stayed with what I knew worked!

Scratched easily
So mad, we installed Trex enhance because we heard its amazing quality. Within 3 days of installing the deck its getting scratched from a dog just walking on it.
Not even running.
I bought this decking since I was told it was scratch resistant. But this scratched easier then 10 year old wood we removed.

ANDWER TO TREX HOWLING
Put this backing in the grooves howling stop due to breaking up air that causes howl , i got this roll on amazon for about 100$

Trex decking misleading
I spent over 15 grand in using Trex decking on my porch only to have to rip it all up for expansion/bowing issues after 3 years. I was lead to believe that Trex is a outside decking material. I guess not.

I had a broken bottom rail on the stairs. I called the company, talked to a very helpful rep. She asked for pics and once she figured out what I needed, it was shipped, and I received it within a few days.

Product warped and shrunk in 6 months
I ripped 12 Trex facia into 2 strips for exterior trim. It shrunk, warped, pulled away.
Prior build was w/ Veranda.
No issues. Had to replace all of the Trex.
